    • A firearm was used in 1,292 or 38.9% of the reported robberies.
    • A knife or cutting instrument was used in 321 or 9.7% of the reported robberies.
    • Other dangerous weapons, not specifically coded or fitting one of the other categories, were used in 375 or 11.3% of the reported robberies.
    • Strong-arm tactics were responsible for 1,333 or 40.1% of the reported robberies.

Robberies accounted for 7.2% of the major offenses reported.

Burglary Report

  • In 2015, a total of 23,333 burglaries were reported by law enforcement agencies in Colorado.
  • This is a 0.9% increase in burglaries from 2014.
  • Burglaries accounted for 50.7% of the major offenses reported.
    • There were 11,391 forced entry burglaries reported. Forced entry burglaries accounted for 48.8% of the burglaries.
    • There were 10,116 non-forced entry burglaries reported. Non-forced entry burglaries accounted for 43.4% of the burglaries.
    • There were 1,826 attempted burglaries reported. Attempted burglaries accounted for 7.8% of the burglaries.
Burglaries accounted for 50.7% of the major offenses reported.
